Indoco Remedies aids medical treatment of farmers' kids

City-based pharma firm Indoco Remedies has donated Rs. 5 lakh to Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Vaidyakiya Prathisthan for medical treatment of the children of drought affected farmers in Marathwada region of Maharashtra.

"In the backdrop the pains felt by rural folk of the Marathwada region due to drought, we have donated Rs 5 lakh to Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Vaidyakiya Prathisthan, an initiative of Dr. Hedgewar Hospital in Aurangabad," a company statement said.

The proceeds of the fund would be utilised for medical treatment of the children of drought affected farmers, it added.

"We at Indoco have always looked giving back to society where our facilities are located like Aurangabad, Baddi and Goa," Indoco Remedies chairman Suresh G Kare said.
