Indian Drug Manufacturers' Association (IDMA) celebrated the 50^th Annual Day Golden Jubilee Year Celebrations on 6^th & 7^th January, 2012 at Hotel Intercontinental–The Lalit, Mumbai. The event was attended by eminent personalities like, Shri. Vilasrao Deshmukh, Shri. Ramu Deora, Shri. Rajeev Kher, Mr. Shiv Khera, Mr. Sonu Nigam and Mr. Amitabh Bachchan.

Indoco Remedies received the Silver Quality Excellence Award for their Sterile Manufacturing Facility in Goa and Solid Dosages Facility in Baddi (Himachal \Pradesh) at this grand event, which once again proves Indoco's excellence in the manufacturing of pharmaceutical formulations. The event was spread over two days, being the Golden Jubilee celebrations.

Mr. Amitabh Bachchan graced this occasion by his august presence and felicitated Indoco's Chairman & Managing Director, Mr. Suresh G. Kare, for his active contribution as a past President of IDMA. Mr. Kare's felicitation at the hands of a charismatic personality like Mr. Amitabh Bachchan carries more significance due to Mr. Bachchan's familiarity with the Pharma industry, besides his remarkable achievements in the film industry. Mr. Suresh G. Kare has dedicated his entire life to the pharmaceutical industry and has been an active member of IDMA for decades.
